Position Description:
The Financial Analyst Intern will work closely with
the Corporate Finance Team at ALEX AND ANI. The
individual will shadow and partner with various
team members and will help develop and maintain
the accuracy of detailed financial models and
dashboards used by Senior Leadership.
Additionally, the Analyst will be responsible for ad
hoc analysis to support corporate initiatives and
reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Reviews existing financial processes and develop action plans to implement systematic solutions and/or streamline processes
• Maintains relevant databases used to report on relevant metrics
• Performs ad-hoc analysis for the decision makers within each company function
• Interacts closely with Accounting and IT departments on system data integrity to ensure the information utilized in the generation of Finance deliverables is accurate and current
• Supports business unit ad-hoc financial analysis and performs those analyses timely and accurately • Performs analysis of spending requests and how it impacts the budget, financial covenants, and other key performance indicators
• Provides timely, accurate, and clear deliverable's to internal and external constituents
• Prepares and provide monthly reporting highlighting variances of projections to benchmarks across channels or product categories. Work with other departments to provide explanation of variances and potential risks and opportunities
