DESCRIPTION
The Accounting Intern is responsible for application of generally accepted accounting principles, analysis of financial information, and preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and reconciliations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
·       Assist in Monthly Close activities and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including but not limited to:
·       Preparation of Journal Entries
·       Preparation of Reconciliations
·       Identification and resolution of accounting discrepancies and irregularities
·       Review for accuracy and presentation
·       Analyze financial information
·       Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable when needed
·       Ad Hoc assignments
QUALIFICATIONS
·       Education working towards a degree in Accounting/Finance
·       Intermediate to Advance Excel skills (pivots, vlookups, sumifs etc.)
·       Attention to detail and accuracy is required
·       Strong organizational skills

·       Strong communication and presentation skills

DXL Group is actively seeking candidates for our summer internship program in our Canton, MA corporate office. We offer dynamic internships that provide “real world” business experience with a national, multi-million dollar retail company. Many of our internships lead to full-time career opportunities! You will work alongside seasoned business professionals, assisting with special projects and day-to-day responsibilities, and attending department meetings. ·      Internships typically last for 10 weeks (early June thru mid August)
·      Interns work 20-25 hours per week

Ascensus - Sr. Marketing Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title:              Senior Marketing Associate, College Savings
                                      
Department:                Marketing, College Savings
    

Position Purpose:      The Senior Marketing Associate will collaborate with the Director of Marketing to provide marketing services to support our mission to make saving for college easy. Marketing services are required for the Ascensus corporate brand (B2B), our proprietary products (Ugift and 529 QuickView), and 31 separate and distinctly branded 529 college savings plans (B2C).  Each 529 college savings plan requires a different level of service, ranging from recordkeeping only (transactional forms, legal documents, fulfillment, etc.) to full service (marketing plans, media campaigns, emails, direct mails, websites, events, grassroots efforts, transactional forms, legal documents, etc.). The Senior Marketing Associate will be focused primarily on service to RI’s CollegeBoundfund.

The position will manage all aspects of marketing including planning, budgeting, project management, creation, distribution, fulfillment, and measurement, analysis, vendor management, and client relationships. 

The ideal candidate is a quick learner who thrives in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.  They should have marketing and financial services experience. 529 plan familiarity is a plus. Exceptional customer service and the ability to work both individually and as part of a cross functional team are crucial.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Director to evolve departmental processes and standards
  • Schedule and traffic marketing projects using online management system
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all edits are properly incorporated and final approvals obtained
  • Manage print production, including gathering pricing and estimates, sending files to print, approving proofs, fulfillment options, direct mail
  • Manage fulfillment, including monitoring deliveries and inventory levels, reordering as necessary, conducting periodic reviews of inventory to keep up to date, entering orders as necessary
  • Manage email production process, including scheduling with vendor, preparing links documentation, reviewing test files
  • Facilitate web production process including  preparing and submitting scope documents, reviewing changes in staging and production environment
  • Help manage invoices and budgets
  • Contribute to annual client analysis and marketing year-in-reviews, including studying the data and drawing conclusions about trends and opportunities
  • Lead formal client presentations (either in person or via phone)
  • Contribute to creation and revisions of full-year marketing communications plans including budget allocation recommendation.
  • Guide creative marketing agency’s execution of marketing tactics within budget parameters
  • Pull campaign measurement, prepare and provide periodic updates on the progress toward goals and results of marketing efforts to clients
  • Consult with the client regularly on marketing initiatives (ad hoc and weekly meeting participation).
  • Be aware and have working knowledge of marketing efforts of other clients, and monitor competitor marketing efforts. Draw upon these examples to demonstrate knowledge and offer additional opportunities and suggestions to your clients in a consultative manner
·       Maintain an excellent working relationship with the Relationship Management team. Work with them collaboratively to meet or exceed client expectations for marketing for their clients. Keep the team informed of all marketing efforts (status of campaigns in development, results of completed campaigns, etc.)
  • Understand and uphold the marketing process (approvals, web updates, email development, timelines, etc.)
  • Understand and advocate both our corporate and our 529 college savings plan brands
  • Research and create content for RFP responses and presentations. Participate in  and production as necessary
  • Protect, secure, and properly handle all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business
  • 5 years' work experience in a marketing position
  • Ability to travel
