Located on the picturesque campus of the University of Rhode Island, DELTA SIGMA CHAPTER of SIGMA CHI FRATERNITY received the 2017 URI Greek Life, Leadership Award and the 2018 Outstanding Philanthropy Award for URI Fraternities.
The National Order of SIGMA CHI was first established in 1855, and remains one of the oldest and largest fraternities in the country. The Position
We’re looking for an ASSISTANT HOUSE DIRECTOR to reside in the fraternity house and perform duties comparable to a dormitory, Resident Advisor with additional responsibilities performed by you and our Senior House Director, who lives near campus.  Sigma Chi Housing Corporation owns and has oversight for the physical property, kitchen, and real estate of arguably the nicest, Greek Chapter House on campus.
·        URI’s DELTA SIGMA CHAPTER OF SIGMA CHI provides your housing in a private, in-house apartment in addition to a 7-day per week meal plan prepared by our first class chef.

·        The above two provisions combined are equivalent to $16,000 per semester and are considered part of your stipend. In addition, you will add to this stipend a negotiable amount commensurate with your educational background, any work-related experience, your part-time, projected, hourly commitment, and other related skills discovered through the interview process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Provide strong, live-in, leadership presence to ensure personal safety of residents, and to protect the integrity of the facility.
·        Ensure URI Fire and Personal Safety Standards are met through on-going reporting and recordkeeping per URI’s and Sigma Chi’s legal, compliance requirements.
·        Maintain confidential, resident, and staff files with reference to contractual/rental agreements, health information, emergency contacts, and incident reports.
·        Develop professional relationships with relevant campus and fraternity administration, Board of Directors, parents of residents, and alumni. 
·        Lead by example, modeling preferred behaviors of URI and fraternity mandates.
·        Act as Building Superintendent for facilities’ trouble-shooting when necessary, referring to compiled vendors’ list for out-sourcing, master the building’s computerized lock system, operate building security, keep inventory records, and relay needed repairs/upgrades to Housing Board.
·        Become familiar with Greek Life experience, and serve as resident resource for academic, emotional, conflict, and referral support for students.
·        Co-Facilitate House Meetings, Duty Assignments, and Trainings, and co-host staff and Executive Board Meetings as needed to promote open communication, improve performance, and create strong sense of community involvement. 
·        Attend monthly House Director and Housing Board Meetings.
·        Assume role of liaison between Sigma Chi’s Housing Board and the fraternity’s Executive Board to promote cooperation and positive communication.

URI MapLab - Summer Research Assistant in Marketing

Position Description: Summer Research Assistant in Marketing
Seeking a highly motivated, proactive student for the summer to help create loyalty program for increasing healthy grocery purchases.
20 hours/week, paid
Responsibilities:
-       Analyze purchase history for coupon assignment 
-       Develop participant communications platform and personalized weekly emails with coupons and nutrition education, in collaboration with Nutrition students
-       Help with participant recruitment, survey administration, interfacing with participants
-       Help design and document process for tracking participants, cueing communications, tracking coupon use and generating reporting during data collection period
-       Work with Professors Stephen Atlas (Marketing) and Maya Vadiveloo (Nutrition) and interdisciplinary research team
Desired Qualifications
-       Past data analysis in Excel useful
-       Past experience with past automated email management platforms
-       Previous exposure to Qualtrics
-       Past experience with customer management and marketing platforms (e.g. Accelitec)
