Marketing Intern Job Description (02_2016)
Objective:  To assist Brokers’ Service with various marketing projects and campaigns by using on-line tools, internal systems, and marketing research and strategies.
·       Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Director with research for content marketing
o   Online research for industry “hot topics”
o   Assist in the improvement of Social Media Campaigns
·       Assist in writing and editing marketing content
o   Proofread content to be used for in-bound marketing
o   Work with Marketing Coordinator to distil expert content to usable marketing pieces
·       Administration and maintenance assistance on campaign work.
o   Monitor email schedule and ensure tasks are on schedule
o   Coordinate with Marketing Coordinator to assist in email sends
·       Assist in event planning
o   Contact vendors and support for misc. event tasks
·       Create lists from online database, working with marketing director to obtain summary data
·       Clerical and administrative support as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
       Proficient in Excel
       Experience conducting internet research
       Organized and the ability to work with deadlines
       Ability to work well with others in a team environment
       Ability to manage multiple, sometimes competing priorities
       Self-motivated, fast learner
       Attention to detail and excellent written communication skills
       Editorial experience a plus
       Database experience a plus

    POSITION DESCRIPTION
    Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Analyst is responsible for:
    • Preparing, and submitting expense and headcount budget and forecasts
    • Preparing and submitting various internal management and Dassault Systems (DS) Headquarters reporting requirements
    • Supporting other activities within the Finance department
    Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Maintain the headcount database.
    • Load expense and headcount data to the internal budgeting system for company consolidation.
    • Prepare detailed bottoms-up expenses and submit budget and forecasts to DS Headquarters.
    • Provide analysis on actual results compared to budget or forecast and investigate discrepancies.
    • Reconcile intercompany positions with partners.
    Reporting
    • Maintain, update, and enhance headcount database.
    • Resolve headcount variances between the expected and reported results.
    • Prepare and distribute departmental reports to internal management for expenses and headcount.
    • Participate in the preparation of quarterly Management Discussion & Analysis for DS Headquarters, and monthly actual results to internal SIMULIA management.
    General accounting and finance
    • Support other finance department activities as required.
    • Support the month-end and quarter-end accounting closing processes, including the preparation of expense accruals and transfer pricing models.

    REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
    • Some exposure to budgeting and forecasting
    • 1-3 years of experience in finance
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
    • Exposure to financial planning, reporting, and accounting systems (TM1, Magnitude, PeopleSoft)
    • Demonstrates flexibility to adapt to a fast paced environment with multiple priorities and constantly changing workload.
    • Position requires longer hours during business peaks and flexibility is necessary to support the team.
    • Detail Oriented, team player, flexible and adaptable
    • Some travel required (<10%)

    Learning Support Programs Assistant
    The Academic Enhancement Center is offering an up to 20 hour per week position (based on budget and programming needs) open to graduate students at URI. The position runs through the 2016-2017 academic year, with the possibility of renewal in subsequent years. This position does not offer a tuition waiver. The expected pay rate is $22.01 per hour.
    Description

    Under the supervision of the Director of the Academic Enhancement Center, the graduate student will assist professional learning support program coordinators with some or all of the following, according to program needs:
    •   Outreach to students, faculty and staff, including in-class workshops and presentations, correspondence and collaboration with faculty, students and professional staff, outreach and marketing via social media, assistance with AEC staff development.
    •   Supervision, assessment and evaluation of undergraduate tutoring staff.
    •   Data collection and analysis, program assessment and evaluation.
    •   Academic coaching/learning skills developmental assistance to undergraduate students
    •   Office management functions, including reception.
    •   Program and project planning and development


      Qualifications:
      The qualified candidate will be a matriculating graduate student at the University of Rhode Island. 
      Strongly preferred: Experience in teaching or tutoring at college level. Demonstrated understanding of effective study skills. Demonstrated success in project collaboration. Ability to work at least one evening per week until 8 pm. 
      Preferred: Experience in data management and analysis. Experience supervising students or staff. Experience in office management.
