Composites Alliance of Rhode Island Recruiting for Advanced Composites Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program

Looking to start a career in composites or manufacturing? 

The Composites Alliance of Rhode Island is currently seeking participants for their Advances Composites Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program. This is a four-week course that gives attendees entry-level skills to start a career in this area. 

The next training session begins mid-Novembers with attendees being trained Monday to Friday from 8a to 4p. Attendees will complete a one-week job shadow giving them on-the-job experience with a local firm and also includes a paid incentive.

Intern - Cardi Corporation

Internship description
The intern would work in the area of accounting and aid us in producing both plant reports for our manufacturing facilities as well as job cost reports for our construction contracts.  The initial period would focus on our Accounts Payable process and include coding and entering invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and check processing.   Additional areas of focus would include reconciling Job Cost reports to the state estimates, maintaining the electronic data files, reviewing Subcontract Accounts, creating force accounts, and other reconciliation projects.

Is looking for a URI Computer Science student to Intern for us this upcoming semester.  The student will be exposed to many facets of programming, including but not limited to front end development utilizing HTML, CSS and Javascript.  The student must be receiving college credits during this internship, and we will pay the student a stipend, (pre-negotiated) amount depending on experience and time commitment.  The student should meet the following criteria;

·      Optimistic personality

POSITION SUMMARY
This person will need to work well with others in an office setting at the Webb. Will have training and then share duties that are secretarial in nature. To include Hotel searching,pricing, making and confirmations for a 30 person road crew. Learning how we do purchase orders, and reconcile Home Depot billings. “Waving” computer orders for store supplies for new stores and remodels. Comparing our payroll Kronos system to our construction labor material “Pacific” system and documenting results. May also be putting travel expenses, other related expenses into an excel worksheet for budget versus actual number reviews.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate daily with Project Managers, office staff, and in particular Kathy Shea. Once trained in the different facets of the overall job integrate with property management in transfer of data from store planning -new store documentation to Maria in property management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
      Basic computer internet/google skills. Very strong excel skills.
      Very strong communication skills, ability to work well with others.
