The Ryan Center and Boss Ice Arena is looking for outgoing individuals that love entertainment, sports, and other exciting events for a number of positions here at the arena. Working at the Ryan Center and Boss Ice Arena is a great way to meet friendly staff members in a positive work environment.
Additionally, the Ryan Center and Boss Ice Arena has created specialized internship and work-study programs for undergraduates looking to obtain experience in the facility management industry. These programs are set up to give hands-on experience on different aspects of business, event planning, set up, marketing and sponsorships for concerts, trade shows, sporting events, and family shows.
Position Info:
As a
valuable member of the Ryan Center and Boss Ice Arena team, you will assist
with a variety of programs and events. This
position will work closely with the Director of Marketing to handle grassroot
duties, supervise intern department, day-to-day website management, social
media and handle group sales activities.
Specific Duties:

Assist
in the development and design of collateral materials used to promote events at
both venues
·
Maintain
digital photo archives
·
Oversee
venues’ social media sites
·
Oversee
Ryan Center and Boss Ice Arena day-to-day website
·
Participate
in event or game-day activities, promotions and set-up
·
Maintain
group sales and marketing database
·
Develop
marketing plans for specific shows/events
·
Handle
group sales responsibilities for assigned shows/events
o
Handle
phone calls, lead generation, event coordination and servicing of clients for
group sales
·
Assist
in writing press releases, plan community outreach events and other public
relations duties
·
Develop
sponsorship proposals for Ryan Center events
·
Actively
participate in brainstorming sessions
·
Assist
in the supervision of intern department
·
Perform
other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
·
At least four (4) years of college; Marketing
or Communications majors preferred but not required
·
Exceptional
aesthetic sense and intuitive understanding of design principles
·
Passion
for the sports and entertainment industry
·
A
winning, do what it takes, attitude
·
Excellent
organizational skills and proven attention to detail
·
Highly
motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills
·
Proficiency
in Adobe Photoshop
·
Ability
to work nights and weekends
Payment: $30 / hour, 10 hours / week
