We are currently seeking a paid Summer Intern for our Supplier Relationship Management division.

Project Experience:

Supplier Management 101

·       Opportunity to work closely with Supplier Managers to engage with UNFI Suppliers

·       Learn how UNFI interacts with their supplier community, and how we assist in growing their brands

·       Exposure to category, brand and item knowledge

·       Attend Supplier meetings

o   Marketing Programs – what programs we offer, how to sell/approach supplier

o   Reporting tools – understanding the data

o   How to approach suppliers – dealing with difficult topics/situations

·       Exposure to the aspects of what a Supplier Manager at UNFI does – day to day tasks/responsibilities

·       Exposure and participation in key projects assigned to the Supplier Management team

o   Working in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment – opportunity to experience and learn how to be nimble while managing the day-to-day

Job Functions:

·       Work directly with Supplier Managers across a breadth of categories

·       Assist in the Supplier Managers day-to-day tasks and responsibilities – report generation/analysis, meeting preparation, etc.

·       Work directly with Supplier Managers to understand UNFI Marketing programs and tools – provide insight and recommendations as appropriate.

Requirements:

·       Ability to organize, coordinate, and direct projects

·       Solid analytical and technical skills

·       Proficiency in all Microsoft applications

Schedule:  9 am – 5 pm; Mon - Thurs

Wage/ Salary: $14
