offers a project based learning opportunity and includes a full day
orientation, formal networking event, and a capstone final presentation to
showcase your experience.
We are currently seeking a paid Summer Intern for our Inbound Logistics Department. The
selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the Inbound Logistics team
with load coordination, scheduling, carrier payables and freight pricing.
Project
Experience:
Learn about the
fundamental disciplines required to support our distribution network. You will
work within each sub-department of Inbound Logistics, learning and contributing
each step of the way using our proprietary Transportation Management System
(TMS). A Capstone presentation at the end will give you the opportunity to
showcase what you have learned during the internship to your peers, your
managers, and your professors.
Job Functions:
· Coordinate Load movements, while considering Cost, Mode and
Service requirements
· Schedule inbound loads within prescribed capacity settings
· Process Carrier payables, evaluate aging statements
· Apply Freight Pricing methodologies to conversion opportunities
Requirements:
·
Pursuing
Bachelor’s Degree In Business Administration or Operations Management
·
Intermediate
level Excel proficiency required
·
Experience
in Distribution, Logistics or Transportation a plus
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday
08:30-5:00 (32 hours) 8 Weeks
Wage/ Salary: $14
