Job Purpose:
Qualified
candidate will work cooperatively with the Human Resources Department to analyze
development and make recommendations on current and future policy
standardization. Project work
to include research/benchmarking of best practices, auditing of existing HR
systems, and other duties as assigned.
Duties:
- Assist in auditing of existing
HR policies
- Update and standardize current
approved policies

Analyze all
policies to identify via research and legal consultation to ensure policies are
up to date, within best practice and consistency across areas and make recommendations
and updates accordingly

Conduct analysis
on pay practice and vacation policy for
Rhode Island and Virginia locations to identify difference and similarities and
recommendations for one unified policy
·
Create and
distribute policy guide to Senior Level HR Staff
·
Create HR
guidance, company branding and leadership essentials – Global Leadership guide
for TPA Leadership
·
Assist the
department in the roll out of the Campaign in a cloud platform
Requirements:
·
Must be proficient in MS Word and
Excel
·
Good oral and written communication skills.
·
Must have a strong work ethic, be highly self-motivated and enjoy working
with others
·
Ideal candidate will be a business/labor relations/human resources major
Length of Internship: Approximately six months
