Description of position/responsibilities:
§ Gain
practical hands-on experience researching and building media lists
§ Learn
to comfortably and proactively pitch reporters
§ Coordinate
editorial coverage results
§ Draft
press releases and editorial pitch letters
§ Creatively
brainstorm PR and social media ideas in the travel market
§ Maintain
current database of customer testimonials and reference letters
§ Create
editorial calendars for use throughout the year
Qualifications Collette is seeking in an
internship applicant:

Intern candidates must have good
communication/people skills
·
Strong writing skills
·
Be comfortable speaking on the phone
·
Creativity
·
Have a genuine interest in public relations
Recent graduates (with a
degree in PR, communications or marketing) or current students studying PR,
journalism, marketing communications, or communications are preferred.
