CBIZ Tofias is seeking a Tax Associate to join our growing Tax Team. This individual will spend time within our growing Tax practice working with closely held, middle market clients comprised of partnerships, individual family groups, fiduciaries and corporations with multi-state returns, as well as publicly traded multinational companies.

Responsibilities:

·  Prepare federal, state and international (corporate) income tax returns

·  Prepare and organize tax files

·  Prepare projections for year-end tax strategies

·  Perform tax research and prepare written summary of findings

·  Participate in in-house continuing professional education training

·  Respond to IRS and state tax notices

·  Work as part of an integrated team

·  Communicate directly with clients as directed by Supervisor

·  Other responsibilities as necessary

Education/Skills/Experience:

·  BS degree in Accounting

·  0-2 years of public accounting experience with some exposure to tax preparation, (remove strongly) preferred

·  An MBA, MST or MSA, or in process, (remove a plus) preferred

·  CPA certification, or in process, preferred

·  A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize time and projects

·  Excellent analytical, research, interpersonal, written and oral communications skills necessary

·  Strong written and oral communications skills required

·  Ability to effectively present information, listen and respond to questions from clients and team members

·  A self-starter with an eagerness to learn is required as well as proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

·  Proficient with ProSystem FX, or similar tax software, a plus

·  Must be able to travel based on client and business needs (add)
