The Prout School - Internship

Internship Info:


The goal of marketing and communications at the Prout School is to increase awareness and promote a positive image of the school to the communities we serve. Good communication enhances our relationship with current families and helps draw prospective students. It also provides an understanding of the accomplishments and the needs of the school to alumni and potential donors. The internship would be for credit and would require a minimum of 16-18 hours per week depending on required hours for class credit.

Intern Responsibilities:

·      Write media releases, newsletter content, announcements and alumni notices
·      Social media updates
·      Design, layout and update print promotional materials including posters, flyers, programs and ads
·      Increase media presence
·      Support fundraising activities within the Development Department which includes assisting with and possibly attending fundraising events       
·      Assist with any fundraising phone calls and mailings and grant investigation and writing 
·      Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong computers skills and proficiency in Word, Excel and graphic design programs.
