Ocean State Job Lot opened for business in 1977 as a single store operation in North Kingstown, RI. The idea was to sell brand name, first quality products at closeout prices. We understood that people work hard for their money. Our job was to deliver the best values possible. That was the idea then and that's still our goal today. Although we are known as a closeout company, we prefer to think of ourselves as opportunistic merchants.

professionals to help support the organization’s growth and profitability and
work with a local close out Retailer established here in Rhode Island in 1977
that has grown to over 100 stores in 7 States with $ 540 million dollars in
annual sales!
Experience Gained:
- Meaningful, real-world experience in the areas of Data Analysis, Economics and Finance.
- Gain the ability to demonstrate competency in research, data gathering and data analysis.
- Active participation in the production and review of periodic reports.
Qualifications:
- Must be entering Junior or Senior year
- Experience using MS Excel
- Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Major in Economics, Finance or Business Management
Work Schedule / Details:
- Hours are flexible and depend on the student's class schedule, course requirements (if applicable) and availability.
- Competitive Wage / Salary
- Part-time 3 days / week.
- Hours Per Week: 8 - 16
