Summary/Purpose of Position
Under the leadership and direction of staff
within the International Department, this summer internship will offer the opportunity
for a student to gain experience by assisting in the execution of internal training
and clinical education initiatives for a leading global medical device company.
The International department is responsible
for growing the global business reach of Davol product offerings. This intern
will provide support and customer service for internal cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is highly motivated to
grow within the organization in the future, and thrives in an environment of
creativity and accountability.
This individual will assist in international
education initiatives with the global education team. They will interact with
several programs and databases including a Learning Management System (LMS)
with 500+ global users and other marketing tools.
The International Intern will participate in data
gathering and analysis, daily meetings with management, quarterly all employee
meetings, attend other company meetings, and will have the opportunity to participate
in several 1:1 meetings with the leadership at Davol to discuss career options
in the medical device field.
This is a paid position.
Essential Duties and Position
Responsibilities
· Assist in creating online courses and
educational tools
· Generate detailed reports on activity in the
LMS
· Attend and participate in team meetings
· Other assignments as necessary
Knowledge
and Skills
Formal Education:
§ Business major or
equivalent undergrad or masters level program (e.g. MBA)
Specialized
Skills:
§ Excellent personal
communication skills
§ Must have the ability to
work on several projects simultaneously
§ Must be comfortable
working in a fast paced environment of accountability
§ Self-motivated, ability
to work independently
§ Strong writing and
grammatical skills
§ Strong organizational
skills and detail oriented
§ Understanding of Microsoft
Office Software applications and web based systems a plus
§ Exceptional drive to
pursue a career in medical device
Desired Availability

during summer semester
