Experiential Learning provides students
with direct experience through which they can use a variety of skills and
reflection to apply new ideas gained from the experience to their classroom
learning. At MagSeal, we would like to
give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make
connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths.
We
anticipate that the student intern will:

Develop goals which will be structured into the work experience and
supervised by a professional that has relevant background in the particular
field.

We anticipate that MagSeal will mentor
the intern to:

Provide adequate supervision in a safe environment with the necessary
tools to succeed during the allotted time period.

Scope
of Work – Intern Project
Description
The
opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Intern to join our
team! The ideal candidate is a student enrolled in an Operations/Material
Control related degree program who is looking to gain hands on work experience
with an experienced Warehouse team.
POSITION
SUMMARY:
Assist
and learn the processes of Inventory Management in Supply Chain management.
Support supervisors in the areas of inventory and traceability. Assist
with various Supply Chain Projects.
Hours: 1st shift M-F Flexible
Length
of Internship: Flexible length internship up
to 3 months (May 2017 – August 2017)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
·Support
and maintain trace and inventory control of the seal case assembly line
·Perform
studies and analyze projects to improve the inventory management process.
·Identifies
opportunities to eliminate non-value added activities and streamline job tasks
to create a more efficient working environment.
·Provide
clerical support to the Supply Chain Department.
·Performs
other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Required: Working towards a four-year degree.
EXPERIENCE:
No work experience necessary.
Preferred: Manufacturing, Warehousing, or Supply Chain
experience.
SKILLS:
· Ability to work flexible hours
· Above average communication skills (written and oral)
· Service oriented attitude
· Strong listening skills
· Detail oriented
· Problem solving skills
· Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required; SAP experience
preferred
