Brigham and Women's Hospital - Research Marketing Assistant

GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Division of Global Health Equity is a founding partner of the Global Health Delivery Project (GHD). GHDonline, the “communities of practice” website of GHD, is where health care implementers share proven practices, connect with colleagues, and find resources they need to improve health outcomes in resource-limited settings. Launched in July 2008, GHDonline consists of ten public communities that global health professionals can join to participate in discussions, post resources, and search for practical information to help them design, implement, and improve health care programs and services.
The community management team at GHD is responsible for developing engaged, sustainable online communities that facilitate the exchange of knowledge and implementation expertise between health care professionals. We work closely with an international team of expert moderators to foster high quality community engagements and ensure that members are supported in the work they do.
As part of the community management team, the Research Marketing Assistant will be working to facilitate these interactions in the community, engage and highlight individual members, and support continued growth of GHDonline’s professional virtual communities. This is an opportunity to gain significant hands on experience with marketing, communications, social media, and online communities – we are incredibly passionate about the work we do, and are looking for people who share that passion and are eager to learn and work hard. This research marketing assistant position is a six month co-op internship that is based in our Boston offices.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Co-op Research Marketing Assistant will interact directly with GHDonline members and moderators as they create new community events and programs to help onboard new community members, highlight innovative approaches in care delivery, and facilitate member feedback.
